Our Michigan McDonald's All American, Rickea Jackson has arrived in Atlanta for the 42nd McDonald's All American game! Rickea of Detroit Edison Public School Academy, was selected to be a part of the prestigious team earlier this year and was presented her McDonald's All American Jersey during one of her games in February. Rickea will compete alongside 23 other elite female high school basketball players from throughout the U.S. on Wednesday at Atlanta's State Farm Arena. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 beginning at 5 p.m. with the boys game following at 7 p.m. Good Luck Rickea!

Jackson was presented with a special McDonald's All American jersey during her team's game on Monday night. She will compete alongside 23 other top female high school basketball players from throughout the U.S. Jackson, a 6’ 2” wing, has been a stand-out player this season for the Pioneers and is set to play at Mississippi State University next season. Family, friends and Detroiters can watch Jackson live in the 42nd McDonald’s All American Games will broadcast live from Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on March 27 starting with the Girls Game at 5:00 p.m. ET and the Boys Game following at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Desiree was honored for her heroic efforts and received a Certificate of Lifesaving from McDonald’s.
Congratulations to Jennifer Litomisky, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities Detroit, who was named to Crain's Detroit Business' "Notable Women in Nonprofits" list. Under Jennifer’s direction, Ronald McDonald House of Detroit more than doubled to 26 bedrooms from 12. The nonprofit provides a home away from home for 1,500 families of children receiving care at area hospitals every year.
